Planning for The Perfect Guys’ Road Trip

There is nothing more satisfying than hitting the open road with a bunch of your friends and having fun and some adventure along the way. Road trips are great if you have a plan for how you will spend your time in the car, where to go, and what to do to make the trip memorable. Here are a few awesome ideas to get you going but feel free to brainstorm and add some of your own to spice it up!

1.    Start with The Music Selection

You are probably going to spend a lot of time in the car so having a great music selection for the entire trip could be great for bonding and relaxation. Have each of the guys to choose an album from their collection and add it to the list. You can then play each album and have some fun bantering over each other’s selection or singing along.

To spice things up, you could organize a James Corden like carpool karaoke session where you challenge each other to sing along to popular music and have a laugh while at it. As an example, you could include a bit of rap in the selection and try and see who is the fastest rapper in the group.

2.    Hunt for Random Local Delicacies

In your meal plan, try and sample as much local food as possible along the way to make the adventure more memorable. Road trips should be filled with spontaneous adventure and a bit of risk-taking so don’t worry about devouring that sketchy-looking taco or street kebab along the way.  Be sure to include some stomach relief pills and anti-diarrhea medicines in case things get a bit messy.

3.    Stop and Explore on Foot

They are called road trips but it doesn’t mean you have to spend the entire trip hopping from one location to another.  Plan your trip in a manner that you can arrive with some spare time to roam around, visit local nightclubs, or join the locals if they have something going on that night. However, you also need to be conscious about your security in a strange locality so do your homework and avoid venturing into the dangerous parts of town.

4.    Include Random Detours

A fun-filled road trip must include some random detours that could include taking a different route, going off-road, or getting some locals to invite you to their homes for a meal or party. You can use Google maps to factor in the changed routes so that you don’t wander too far off the main routes and have to backtrack.

5.    Plan Some Fun Sports Activities

As you drive to your destination, look for some interesting spots along the way where you can engage in some physical activities such as paintball, hiking, diving, or swimming. This will not only help in recovering from the long drive but make the trip more exciting and memorable.

All in all, a road trip is perhaps one of the best ways to create long-lasting friendships and memories. This is why you should take your time to plan and include as many fun activities for while you are on the road and during the stop-overs. Have fun!
