The jacket is a heritage fit, and the Cotton/Nylon mixture of the materials used to construct the jacket actually give it quite a suedey feel to the touch.
The overall quality of the jacket is very good, and the attention to detail on the finishing touches such as stitching around the seams etc appears to be excellent. In this respect the jacket certainly looks to live upto the tagline on one of the swingtags attached which states that you are ‘Paying a small price for a lot of attention’.
The jacket has zip up front with two zipped pockets, a stitched Original Penguin logo to the chest, a drawstring adjustable hem (which is slightly elasticated to the sides) and button up cuffs to the bottom of the sleeves. A spare button is actually supplied inside the jacket which is a nice little extra touch should you ever lose one of the buttons on the cuffs.
The main body of the jacket is in a very nice Navy Blue colour, with contrasting stripe detailing to the collar, either side of the zipper and around the pocket edgings. Each of the zips is branded Penguin for that little extra designer touch.
The only potential downside to the jacket is that the drawstrings to the hem can prove to be a bit of a nuisance when you are trying to zip it up, but aside from that we would say you are getting an excellent jacket for the money.
Overall Dude Rating — 8/10
