How you pronounce the name is upto you (we’re still struggling to read it let alone say it!), but the one thing we do know about Napapijri clobber is that we love it!
The Finnish word for Arctic Circle, Napapijri was born in the early 1990′s in Aosta, Norway, to meet the needs of demanding travellers. Nowadays they produce a superb range of mens designerwear yet to be discovered by the masses, so if you are looking for something a little different this is one brand well worth checking out.

Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo started Comme Des Garcons in 1969 and has been a major fashion label over the recent decades. The Comme Des Garcons Play label is a relatively new label, aimed at the younger market.
The label is gaining a reputation for creating something a little different on the designer streetwear market. Utilising a bug eyed logo, created by New York graphic designer Filip Pagowski, CDG Play is making waves with it’s unique branding and modern clothing.

Established in 2008, Ma.Strum is a collaborative project between American designer Donrad Duncan and the archive of the late Stone Island designer Massimo Osti. Prior to his passing in 2005, Massimo Osti was one of the most revolutionary designers in the fashion world, experimenting with new fabrics, and continually pioneering manufacturing and dyeing techniques. As the designer and creator of such esteemed brands as Stone Island, CP Company, Left Hand and Bonneville, Osti has left a legacy of innovation, functionality and a timeless aesthetic that continues to feature heavily at Van Mildert each season.
“Whether it is apparel, a timepiece, or a vehicle, I have the same expectations – I look for functionality, value and comfort. People want to look and feel good. To feel sexy is defined by the individual, and it basically comes down to comfort. If a person is comfortable and confident in what they are wearing, they are going to feel sexy.”
Drawing on Osti’s extensive archive, Donrad Duncan (the former creative director at Victorinox) uses exclusive fabric’s and styles, combined with new developments and design ideas. Wearable technology is a key aspect of the collection which sees lightweight parachute ripstop fabric and a solar powered torch both featuring in outstanding examples of spring/summer outerwear.
