There I was flicking through the mens coats section on the Allsaints website when I came across their superb selection of Blazers and I was immediately whisked off down memory lane!
Men of a certain age will remember a bygone age when you never left home on a Saturday night without your blazer, hundreds of wannabe Rick Astley lookalikes swamping town centres up and down the land, but you know what, you wouldn’t have gone out dressed any other way would you??
There was always something edgy and stylish about a blazer, being as it was equally at home dressed up with a pair of Chinos or dressed down with a pair of Jeans, each with a pair of nice Brogues to finish off the look.
Nowadays town centre pubs and wine bars are packed out with blokes sporting baggy jeans, a t shirt (or a polo if they are on the pull!), a pair of pumps and more often than not a ridiculous looking baggy wooly hat! Is it just me or is it really time to turn back the clock and bring back the Blazer!
